Changes in access to ERes

Starting Tuesday afternoon, ERes users will be asked to log in with their OBie ID (i.e. email account name) prior to getting access to the ERes homepage. This security is in addition to the password they use to access materials for a specific course.

We are implementing this change in order to enhance security and fair use compliance on the ERes system. This change will not affect other ERes functions for faculty or students once you are logged in to ERes.

If you have any trouble with your OBie ID, contact cit@oberlin.edu.

Louis & Annette Kaufman gift of scores

The remaining scores from the gift of Louis & Annette Kaufman (Hon. D., Oberlin, 1985), donated by Mrs. Kaufman in 2003, have been added to our Special Collections. Around 100 items, they include works dedicated to Kaufman, the eminent American violinist who, among other accomplishments, served as concertmaster in the orchestras of the great American movie studios through the 1930s-40s. His solos can be heard on dozens of filmtracks of the time. The Kaufmans' colorful life together can be discovered in "A Fiddler's Tale: how Vivaldi and Hollywood Discovered Me" in the library.
