The
James R. and Susan Neumann Jazz Collection presents
the neUmann DIGITization project |
Beginning in fall
2013, the Conservatory Library is giving interested students the chance to
choose an LP to digitize from the ca. 50,000 jazz-related recordings currently
in the Neumann Jazz Collection and then to answer a few brief questions about their experience. The digitized audio will be made available to
all Oberlin students and staff through the online Library catalog, and the
responses will be the basis for a blog post about the experience of choosing
and digitizing the LP.
The steps:
- Sign up here.
- You’ll be contacted to set up a time to do the digitizing, and you’ll be given more details then about how you’ll choose an LP.
Additional blog posts
from the U DIG IT Project are available here.
A complete list of all
currently-digitized audio from the Neumann Jazz Collection is available here.
